Obituary for Arlene Dorothy Huss (Schmidt)

Arlene Dorothy  Huss (Schmidt)
ARLENE D. HUSS, age 91of Jefferson passed away on Friday July 22, 2016 at Sunset Ridge Memory Care in Jefferson. She was born on April 27, 1925 in Cold Spring, daughter of the late Otto and Lisette “Sadie” (Popke) Schmidt.
During WWII Arlene worked at Moe Lighting in Fort Atkinson. She married Leo Huss on November 25, 1950 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on March 15, 2001. Arlene devoted her life to raising her children and volunteering for several organizations. She worked at St. Vincent de Paul for 35+ years and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. She was an active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parishes and The St. Vincent De Paul Society. She will be deeply missed by her family;
Daughter Sharon (Daniel) Calloway of Jefferson, Sons Gary (Mary) Huss of Janesville,
Ron (Linda) Huss of Port Matilda, PA. Grandchildren Nathan Huss, and Natalie Huss.
Her sister Leona Stader of Janesville.
She is further preceded in death by her sister Helen Waga.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 26, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorials may be given to St. Francis Catholic Church or to St. Vincent De Paul in Arlene’s memory.
