Obituary for Patricia Ann McGrath (Klein)

Patricia Ann McGrath (Klein)
PATRICIA “PAT” A. McGRATH, age 60 of Jefferson passed away Monday December 26, 2016 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, surrounded by family, after complications from receiving her second liver transplant. She was born on July 14, 1956 in Jefferson to Gerard and Claire (Klecker) Klein. Pat married David McGrath on June 27, 1981. Pat worked as a Teacher’s Aid for the Jefferson School District for many years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Jefferson. She was very active in her community, volunteering at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Relay for Life, and for Meals on Wheels; she taught religious education, volunteered for the Dodge/Jefferson Counties Genealogical Society, and was an avid stamp collector. Nothing was more important to Pat than her family and she loved researching her family’s genealogy. Pat was a loving wife and mother, she fought for a very long time, trying to be with her family as long as possible.
She will be deeply missed by her husband David McGrath of Jefferson, her mother Claire Klein of Whitewater, children Erica (Tim) Spangler of Silver Spring MD, Matthew (Natalie) McGrath of Waukesha, Leslie (Peter) Stasiewski of New Berlin, and Erin McGrath of Jefferson. Her sisters Connie (Tim) Stauss of Portersville, Carol (Paul) Mielke of Whitewater, Mary Reynolds of Chicago, Terri (Kevin) Kihn of Morrison CO. Brothers Mike (Kathy) Klein of Farmington, Steve (Tyna) Klein of Fort Atkinson. She is preceded in death by her father Gerard Klein and brothers Mark, John, and Charles Klein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 31, 2016 with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson and then again on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
