Lurline Ida  Kohn (Dobberstein)
LURLINE I. KOHN, age 100 of Jefferson passed away on January 27, 2017 at Sylvan Crossing in Jefferson. She was born on March 19, 1916 in the Town of Farmington to
Otto and Arline (Kiltz) Dobberstein. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School and then attended Teachers training and taught in various one room school houses throughout Jefferson and Johnson Creek. Lurline married Harold Kohn on November 30, 1940 in Farmington; they were married 55 years before his death in 1995. She worked at the Stoppenbach Company in the office for 17 years. Lurline enjoyed cane pole fishing, playing cards, gardening and playing Bingo. She enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks Lurline especially loved to sew, she made doll clothes and donated them to Twice is Nice resale store.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson and the St. John’s Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her daughter Judy (Al) Foskett of Jefferson.
Grandchildren; Janine Foskett of Aurora CO, Al “Joe” (Julie) Foskett of Appleton,
Jerry Foskett of Goodyear AZ, Jason (Sherry) Foskett of Farmington MN.
Great Grandchildren: Jessica (Mark) Messick, Felisha (Jeremy) Debter,
Erik (Linsey) Foskett, Joshua Foskett, Mikayla Foskett, Jacob Foskett, Rebekah Foskett,
Veronica Foskett Maggie Foskett, Rachel Foskett. Great great-grandchildren; Emma, Jaycee,
Ayden, Easton and Mason.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson on Saturday February 4, 2017, with Rev. Matthew Krenke officiating, burial will follow in the Union cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Those wishing to give a memorial in Lurline’s name may direct it to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Rainbow Hospice.
