Obituary for Paul Alfred Schroedl

Paul Alfred Schroedl
PAUL A. SCHROEDL, age 85, of Jefferson passed away at his home August 19, 2017. He was born on December 17, 1931 to Enos and Ottilia (Werner) Schroedl. Paul served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He married Agnes “Aggie” Hoffer on July 6, 1957. Paul, along with his family, owned and operated Schroedl’s Market. He also worked at St. Coletta of Wisconsin in the Maintenance and Security Departments for 9 years. Paul enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, camping, swing dancing, inventing different projects in his shop, the Green Bay Packers, and mowing his lawn on his John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed fishing and was recently honored at the most recent Take-A-Vet-Fishing event, for his service in the Korean War. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family: his wife Aggie Schroedl of Jefferson, his children Sharon (Henry “Jim”) van Wyk of Maryland, Mike (Lori) Schroedl of McFarland, Shirley (Pete) Stypulkowski of Pennsylvania, Sheila Schroedl (Dennis Klingbeil) of Fort Atkinson, Sherry (Doug) Bleecker of Fort Atkinson, Sheryl (Bill) Peterson of Sun Prairie, Matt Schroedl (Kelly Donahue) of Deforest, 14 grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Vogel of Jefferson, Alice “Susie” (Vern) Hoffman of Mercer, brother Edward (Jean) Schroedl of Jefferson, sister-in-law Lucille Schroedl of Fort Atkinson. He is preceded in death by brothers Roger, Alfred, Clarence, Reuben, Herbert, and Robert Schroedl, and sister Marion (Joseph) Vogel.
A visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday August 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. The burial with Military Honors will be at the parish cemetery following the service. Memorials in Paul’s name may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to the Take-A-Vet-Fishing Organization.
