Elsie Frieda Jung (Dey)
ELSIE F. JUNG – age 89 of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday April 7, 2018 after a short stay at the Blackhawk’s Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson. She was born on May 30, 1928 in Shawano, WI, daughter of the late Conrad and Augusta Dey. She married Duane Jung on June 16, 1951 at the Masonic Lodge in Jefferson, who preceded her in death in 1972. Elsie worked tirelessly as a single mother while babysitting, was employed by Schweiger’s Industries and later a school bus aid, and an avid doll collector for many years. Above all she was a homemaker and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Beloit.
She is survived by her daughters Gail Jung of Fort Atkinson, Patricia (Phil) Weber of Fort Atkinson and Lorri Kunz of Marengo, IL, seven grandchildren: Cody (Ali) Kunz, Jenna, Mason, and Parker Kunz, Lindsey, Abby, Elliott Weber, one great granddaughter Emma Kunz, and special friend Del Theime.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane, son-in-law Roy Kunz, sister Erika Jeske, and Brother Ervin Dey. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at the Schneider-Michaelis funeral home in Jefferson. Private family burial to follow on Thursday in the Evergreen cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
